Funding

Types of Clients We See

There are a variety of clients we are able to see at Cocoon Psychology.

We can see clients who have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), are funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), have Private Health insurance or are full fee paying private clients.

A Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) is a plan for people who present with a mental health condition. A MHTP is completed in consultation with your GP or Paediatrician. If your child is eligible for a MHTP, they will be able to access up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year. They may be eligible to access further sessions however this is determined at the end of your child’s tenth session. You will be entitled to a rebate from Medicare and you will pay the gap between the full fee and the rebate.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports people who present with a permanent disability. It helps to identify the supports a person may need through funding which will enable them to access services to be able to achieve their goals in life. Cocoon Psychology is able to see children who have NDIS funding and who are self managed and plan managed.

Clients who wish to access treatment through their private health insurance will need to contact their insurance agency directly to determine whether they are eligible.

Clients may also access our services if they are a full fee paying private client.

Unfortunately Cocoon Psychology is not a bulk billing service
